Indonesia PPN calculator

Add PPN to a net price or take it out of a gross price for Indonesia. The rate is filled in from QuoteBill's data and you can change it. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

What QuoteBill's data says about PPN in Indonesia

The rate is shown as it was recorded in QuoteBill's data on 2026-09-17. That is not a statement that it is the rate in force today.

The statutory rate is 12% (from 1 January 2025), but for goods and services outside the luxury class the tax base is 11/12 of the price, so the data uses an effective 11%.

A worked example

Starting from a net amount of IDR 1,234 at 11%: PPN comes to IDR 136 and the gross amount to IDR 1,370.

Starting from the gross amount of IDR 1,370 at 11%: the net amount is IDR 1,234 and the PPN is IDR 136.

How the result is worked out

From a net amount: tax = net × rate, rounded half up to the smallest unit of the currency (IDR: no decimal places). From a gross amount: tax = gross × rate ÷ (100% + rate) and net = gross − tax, so net and tax always add up to the gross amount.

A withholding or other deduction is worked out on the net amount, or on the amount with tax if you choose that, and taken from the gross amount to give the amount payable. You type its rate yourself; nothing is filled in.

Before you rely on it

Rates and rules change; reduced rates, exemptions and thresholds are not covered here; check with the tax authority or an adviser.
