- What does this Djibouti calculator do?
- It adds TVA to a net price or takes it out of a gross price at the rate shown, which you can change. Amounts are in DJF, rounded to the smallest unit of the currency (DJF: no decimal places). Everything is worked out in your browser and nothing you type is sent or stored. It is a calculator, not tax advice.
How the result is worked out
From a net amount: tax = net × rate, rounded half up to the smallest unit of the currency (DJF: no decimal places). From a gross amount: tax = gross × rate ÷ (100% + rate) and net = gross − tax, so net and tax always add up to the gross amount.
A withholding or other deduction is worked out on the net amount, or on the amount with tax if you choose that, and taken from the gross amount to give the amount payable. You type its rate yourself; nothing is filled in.
Before you rely on it
Rates and rules change; reduced rates, exemptions and thresholds are not covered here; check with the tax authority or an adviser.
