Example workflow
Confirm scope and quantities
Example: start with "Charging station supply", confirm the required quantity and client inputs, then agree completion criteria for each item.
Review and approve the quotation
Confirm acceptance evidence for "Charging commissioning", all line quantities, exclusions and quote validity with the customer, and retain the approved version.
Deliver and prepare billing
Confirm completed quantities, site photos, agreed test results and any remaining remedial work. When the agreed milestone is complete, prepare an invoice using actual quantities and approved changes.
Electricians quote home and workplace EV charger installations with this template. It separates the charger itself, the cable run from the consumer unit or switchboard, and commissioning, where the charger is tested and set up for the owner. The cable length is the figure that changes most between sites, so write the length included and the rate beyond it. Say also whether the supply needs upgrading and who arranges that with the network operator.

Frequently asked questions
How do I quote a workplace with several chargers?
Enter the number of chargers as the quantity on the supply line and price shared cabling and load management separately. Adding a charger later can then be quoted from the same figures, without reworking the whole quotation.
What if the existing supply cannot carry the charger’s load?
Say so in the quotation and offer either a lower charging current or a supply upgrade as an optional line. Name who applies to the network operator if an upgrade is needed, since that step can add weeks to the job.
Should groundwork for a cable to a driveway be included?
Price trenching and making good as its own line with the length, or exclude it in writing. Customers often assume the cable reaches the parking space at no extra cost, and the trench is usually the most expensive part of a long run.
How is the sales tax worked out on this quotation?
