  2. Review and approve the quotation

Confirm acceptance evidence for "Lacquer or oil finish, two coats, per m²", all line quantities, exclusions and quote validity with the customer, and retain the approved version.

Sanding and refinishing brings a worn wooden floor back without replacing it, but clients rarely know what the job involves. A floor sanding quotation should explain how many passes you make, how gaps and damaged boards are treated, whether a stain goes on and what finish protects the result. This template prices each step per square metre, so a client can drop the stain or switch from lacquer to oil and see the difference straight away.

Frequently asked questions

What if the floor is too thin to sand again?

Check the board thickness at a lifted board or a floor vent before quoting. If it is close to the limit, say so on the quotation and propose a light abrade and recoat instead of a full sand.

Does the price include moving furniture?

Say whether rooms must be empty before you arrive or whether moving furniture is charged per room. Sanding needs bare floor from wall to wall, so it affects the timetable as much as the price.

How is the sales tax worked out on this quotation?

The worked example above uses an example rate of 8%: $104.00 on a net amount of $1,300.00, for a total of $1,404.00. The editor recalculates all three when you change a quantity, a price or the country.

Can I add my logo and signature?

Yes. The From section of the editor has a place for your company logo and for a signature or seal image. Uploading a picture needs a free account, and a member can keep both in settings so that every new document starts with them.

Can I change the layout and colour?

Yes. The editor offers other layouts and a document colour for the printed page. Changing them moves no figure: the lines and totals stay as they are, and the PDF, Word and Excel files follow the layout you pick.
