45 English contract templates, in five groups
QuoteBill E-Contracts has 45 sample contracts with the clauses written in English, and also in Korean, Japanese and German. They are samples to read and edit, not legal advice, and no template fits every deal.
- Creative and design (8): website design, graphic design, photography, video production, copywriting, influencer collaboration, photo and image release, and performance and booking.
- Software and technology (4): software development, maintenance and support, software subscription (SaaS) and licence.
- Services (12): service, freelance or consulting, marketing, social media, translation, coaching, events, cleaning, catering, monthly retainer, release of liability and waiver, and simple employment.
- Sales and commercial deals (14): sales and supply, simple general contract, master services, statement of work, subcontractor, reseller, sales agent, equipment rental, change order, payment plan, bill of sale, lease of non-residential premises, affiliate or referral, and loan agreement and promissory note.
- Partnerships and preliminary agreements (7): mutual and one-way non-disclosure, letter of intent, memorandum of understanding, collaboration, termination, and settlement and payment commitment.
Read the full text before you sign in
Each template has its own public page with who it suits, a plain line for each clause and the whole sample text. Reading is free and needs no account; using one needs a free account. Starting a draft copies the text into your own contract, which you can then change.
Edit online, save as PDF, and why there is no Word file
You edit the draft in your browser: the parties, every clause, the dates, the payment terms, the governing law and, where the contract carries fees, a price schedule that starts empty in your currency. The draft saves as you go, and nothing is sent until you press send.
QuoteBill makes no Word file of a contract. Quotations and invoices can be downloaded as Word or Excel, but a contract is edited in QuoteBill and, once sent, printed or saved as a PDF through your browser’s print window; after everyone has signed, the PDF carries the signature certificate. If the other side insists on negotiating in Word, QuoteBill does not fit that step.
Worked example: adapt a Service Agreement
The Service Agreement has fifteen clauses. Every blank you must fill is written [[…]], and the editor refuses to send while one is left.
- Start a contract from the Service Agreement. Party A is the Service Provider, filled from your company details; leave Party B, the Client, for the client.
- Describe the work where the text says [[Describe the services and deliverables]], and fill the schedule blank [[Delivery dates or milestones]].
- Check the bracketed numbers, such as [[10]] business days to review, [[7]] days late before work may pause and [[3]] years of confidentiality, and set what you agreed.
- Fill in the governing law and the courts, which start as [[Country or state whose law applies]] and a blank for the courts.
- Set the price schedule and payment terms, delete or reword any clause that does not fit, then send.
Signing it online
You sign first, as party A. Each signer gets a link and an 8-character access code, which you deliver yourself because QuoteBill sends no email to signers. Signers need no account and can sign on a phone or computer. Every step goes into an audit trail, and a signed contract comes with a certificate and an evidence file.
This is a simple electronic signature with an audit trail. QuoteBill does not verify who signs, and it is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature. Whether it is enough depends on the contract and the country.
Check before you rely on a template
A template is a first draft. Before you send it:
- Have a lawyer read any contract that is large, long or involves a party abroad.
- Does your law prescribe a form for this contract? Wills, guarantees given as a private person and notarised deeds do not belong in QuoteBill.
- Is every [[…]] blank replaced, and does each clause fit the deal? Delete what does not.
- Is the other side a business? The templates are designed for business-to-business use; consumer contracts need their own check.
- Will you keep your own copy of the signed contract, certificate and evidence file?
Where to find them
