Like and rank: find the templates people use
Signed-in members can press the heart on any document template or sample contract. A liked template shows its rank and its number of likes, and lists put the most liked first once there are likes. Only totals are public. This article explains how it works and what it does not tell you.
With 250 document templates and 119 sample contracts, it helps to see what other people actually pick. Every template on QuoteBill can be liked, shows where it stands and, once there are likes, is listed first when it has more of them.
Liking a template
Signed-in members can press the heart on a template card or on the template’s own page, and press it again to take the like back. There is one like for each member and template. Visitors see the counts and the ranks, and pressing a heart takes them to sign in first. After signing in you come back to the same template and press the heart yourself.
Rank
A template with likes shows its rank, such as #1 or #2, and its number of likes on its card, and its rank on its own page. Document templates and contract templates are ranked separately, so a contract never competes with an invoice template.
Where the order changes
Lists put the most liked first: the template library and its search, the new-contract screen, the list of all contract templates and the contract cards on the home page and the E-Contracts page. Until a template has a like, lists keep their usual order, so nothing moves around before people have voted. The pages that search engines read keep the usual order; your browser sorts them once the counts arrive.
Privacy
Only totals are public. Nobody can see who liked what, and the likes of a deleted account are removed from the totals.
What a rank does and does not tell you
A rank shows what members of QuoteBill liked. It is not a quality rating, it is not a recommendation for your situation and a sample contract with many likes is still a sample, not legal advice. Use the rank to find a place to start, then read the template’s page and its notes on what to check.
How to use it when you choose
If you are not sure where to begin, open the template library, find your kind of document and look at the top of the list once likes exist. For a contract, open the list of all contract templates, read the page of one near the top, then compare it with a close neighbour using the clause lines and the notes on what to check. A rank never replaces reading the page.
